Sen. Raffy Tulfo Speaks on Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano after Majority Senators’ No Show in Monday’s Session
RAFFY TULFO – The Senator challenged Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano to appear in the Senate session on Wednesday,
Sen. Jinggoy Estrada who is part of the majority bloc following the recent change in leadership in the Senate voluntarily surrendered to the authorities on Monday. He is faced with an arrest warrant issued by the Sandiganbayan.

Graft and plunder charges were filed against Estrada over his alleged multi-million flood control corruption. On Monday, the Senator voluntarily surrendered to the authorities and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla came to the chamber.
Amid the voluntary surrender of Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, no majority senator appeared for the Monday Senate session. Only the minority senators were present and the absence of the majority bloc including Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano sparked criticisms from many people.

Sen. Risa Hontiveros took to social media photos taken inside the session hall. Other senators who were present includes senators Raffy Tulfo, Kiko Pangilinan, Erwin Tulfo, Bam Aquino, Sherwin Gatchalian, Ping Lacson, Migz Zubiri, Lito Lapid, JV Ejercito, and former Senate Pres. Tito Sotto.

Recently, Sen. Raffy Tulfo slammed Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano over his absence in the Senate session twice. The majority senators were once again absent for the Senate session set today.
Based on a post on News5, Tulfo stressed that instead of attending the Senate session, Cayetano is checking in on social media. His remarks came after the Senate President spoke online.

“Hinahamon ko si Alan Peter Cayetano, kung matapang ka, pumunta ka dito bukas. Otherwise, duwag ka,” Tulfo said based on the post.
Following the change in the leadership in the Senate, Pres. Bongbong Marcos previously spoke on the claims of some majority senators that they’re allegedly being targeted.
