NBI to File Charges vs Makati City Doctor for Allegedly Molesting His Patient
MAKATI CITY – A doctor from a hospital in Makati City is facing complaints for allegedly molesting his male patient.
The CCTV footage taken inside the hospital captured the doctor taking the 18-year-old male patient identified as alias “Vergel”. The doctor explained that the patient needs to undergo another medical procedure for his appendix last March 7, 2022.
The two entered a room on the second floor of the hospital. The doctor claimed that he will perform an ultrasound but the room do not contain apparatus. The culprit performed his disgusting act inside the room.
Alias Vergel immediate run away and leave the room while carrying his dextrose although he is in pain because of his condition. “Pinilit kong tumakbo sa third floor kahit masakit yung tiyan ko. Natutulog noon si lola tapos ginising ko siya sabi ko umalis na tayo dito,” Vergel said.
The victim went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to file a complaint against the hospital personnel. NBI spokesperson Atty. Giselle Garcia-Dumlao also encouraged other victims to go to the office for filing charges.
“Siguro po ang iniisip nitong doktor hindi mararamdaman nung biktima dahil nga may anesthesia na pero nagkamali po itong subject natin dahil naramdaman pa rin at nakita nung bata yung ginawang panghahalay sa kaniya,” NBI-NCR regional director Atty. Jun Dongallo said.
The agency will file Acts of Lasciviousness against the doctor for his inappropriate actions. The victim also wants to revoke the doctor’s license.
