Cebu Mayor Michael Rama Positive for COVID-19, Doctor Reveals Condition

Update on Cebu Mayor Michael Rama Who Tested Positive for COVID-19

CEBU MAYOR MICHAEL RAMA – A doctor revealed the condition of the Cebu City Mayor who recently tested positive for COVID-19.

Daily, there are still new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Philippines. The World Health Organization (WHO) has previously reminded countries that the pandemic is nowhere near over and it is not done anywhere once it is not over everywhere.

The reminders of the WHO came amid countries easing their restrictions. The international health body expects a surge in the cases in other nations amid the loosening of measures implemented to fight the spread of the virus. Also, there are new subvariants of the virus that are known to be more transmissible.

In the Philippines, the whole country remains under measure with Metro Manila and most of the areas being under the loosest restrictions, the Alert Level 1. Recently, several officials of the government contracted COVID-19.

Mayor Rama was fully vaccinated and has also received his booster shot. He is currently under quarantine as per the protocol set for fully-vaccinated individuals who had their booster shot. It is his first time getting infected with COVID-19.
