Senate Pres. Migz Zubiri Says Sen. Imee Marcos Tested Positive for COVID-19
IMEE MARCOS – Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri said that the lady Senator tested positive for COVID-19 and experiences a “raging fever”.
As the World Health Organization (WHO) recently reiterated, the COVID-19 pandemic is “nowhere near over” and there are still fresh cases of the disease recorded daily. The Philippines is one of the countries that still record new cases of the disease daily.
The whole country is currently under restrictions through the Alert Level System. Most areas in the nation including Metro Manila is under Alert Level 1, the loosest measure. However, a few weeks after the Elections 2022, an increase in the COVID cases in the country caught attention.
Several politicians also contracted the disease. Recently, Sen. Imee Marcos tested positive for COVID-19.
Based on a recent post of Inquirer, Senate Pres. Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri said that Sen. Imee Marcos tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing “raging fever”. The announcement took place during the plenary session.
Several politicians including senators and the President himself, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, recently had their bout against the disease. The 64-year-old Chief Executive had his second bout against COVID-19 a few days after he assumed office. Meanwhile, he recovered fast unlike during his first bout when it took him months to recover. He continued working while in isolation and returned to physical work after seven (7) days.
Currently, there are still not much details about the condition of Sen. Imee Marcos. More updates may be posted soon.
