Here’s Dennis Padilla’s Response To Leon Barretto’s Open Letter
DENNIS PADILLA – Actor-comedian Dennis Padilla reacted to son Leon Barretto’s emotional open letter.
On June 22, actor Dennis Padilla went viral due to his now-deleted posts. In his Instagram post, he said Leon Barretto, Julia Barretto, and Claudia Barretto “forgot” to greet him on Father’s Day.
The 60-year-old is currently under the spotlight after his unico hijo posted an emotional open letter for his estranged father on Instagram. He said he shared his thoughts on social media because it is said to be his father’s “preferred way” to reach out to them.
Leon Barretto apologized to his dad for not greeting him on Father’s Day before explaining it was awkward for him and his sisters to do so because they don’t know where they stand with him every year. He also expressed his sentiments towards Dennis noting his he allegedly would publicize his own sentiments and would try to gain sympathy from the public.
“It’s not that we don’t want to talk to you, but the few times that we do to resolve the issues, you communicate by shouting, cursing, and using hurtful words that traumatize us.”
The young vlogger also said that Dennis’ words have the power to destroy his children. He also claimed that his dad has been giving false narratives which hurt his siblings. Leon urged Dennis to stop shaming him and his sisters publicly.

Hours later, Dennis Padilla took to his IG account and shared a heartwarming pic of him with Leon. In the caption, the actor apologized to his son and explained that he just misses him and his sisters Julia and Claudia. “I am sorry Leon… Miss ko lang kayo. God bless you more,” he wrote.
Just recently, he posted his response to Leon’s open letter.
“To be your father is the greatest honor I have received. It allowed me to touch the grace of God even for a moment and to see my love made flesh. I have regretfully made mistakes in my life. I may not have been there for you but I always had you in my heart.“
“Sometimes in life there are things that we will never understand why it happened.
In the end, I regret all the moments I let slip by. I regret all the times I hid my feelings from you. If I could have but one wish. I would love to spend sometime with you. After all there is not much more to live than that.“
