Robin Padilla on Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Mike Arroyo: ‘My secret weapon’

Robin Padilla dedicated a post to PGMA and her husband Mike Arroyo

Senator-elect Robin Padilla called former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo his “secret weapon.”

In one of his recent Facebook posts, the actor-turned-politician shared photos with one of the most prominent couples in the Philippines. Robin said that PGMA, who is now a Congresswoman in Pampanga, as well as her husband, helped his candidacy.

The incoming Senator also showed the closeness that he has with the couple for many years now. “My secret weapon. Dami nagtatanong paano ka ba talaga mag number 1. Ito po ang isa sa balwarte ko na nagbigay sa akin ng number 1. Wala na pong iba, ang Hari at Reyna ng buong kampanya ko, Sir First Gentleman Mike Arroyo at President congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo,” Robin Padilla wrote in his Facebook Post.

He also mentioned that Mikee Arroyo supported him. Robin said that PGMA is his ninang who has been truly fulfilling this role in his life over the years. “Si ninang GMA ang laging tumatayo sa gitna at ipinagtatanggol ako at inaayos ang buhay ko. Hindi niya kailanman ako pinabayaan. Pinangatawanan niya ang pagiging ninang niya. Si first gentleman naman hindi ako iniwan mula noon,” the actor-politician said.

Robin also shared that during the election season, when PGMA learned that had no “logistics,” she held conferences and conventions for him. He went around Pampanga and Iloilo without spending on this. “Sagot lahat ni FG. Wala akong kagastos Gastos,” he shared. Through this, he got a huge number of votes.

“Maraming Maraming salamat po PGMA at FG kasama mo ang buo po ninyong pamilya mikee at luli. Maraming Maraming salamat po,” the actor-politician said.
