PAGASA Says ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (April 30, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Mindanao and Palawan. It will bring cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, and Surigao del Sur.

The Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar as well as the remaining parts of Mindanao.

Whole Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the countrywill experience similar weather condition.

The weather agency has also warned the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
