PAGASA Says ITCZ and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies and ITCZ will bring cloudy to rainy condition over some parts of the country.

On Wednesday (April 27, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Mindanao and Palawan while the Easterlies will be affecting the rest of the country.

The Easterlies/Localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet and Aurora.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon are expected to experience the same weather condition.

The weather agency has also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the rest of the archipelago will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.

No weather disturbances have been spotted inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility except for a low-pressure area.
