Darryl Yap Clarification on Mosang Actress: 'Walang #SwitchToLeni kasi...'

Director-writer Darryl Yap made clarifications on actress Rowena Wengkie Quejada, the actress in Mosang series of Vincentiments.

Rowena has already done several episodes in the said series for Vincentiments’s social media platforms. She also appeared in one of the episodes of the Len-len series with Senator Imee Marcos.

However, she caught the attention of many netizens when she posted a photo showing that she is a Kakampink or one of the supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo.

With this, comments surfaced that she has already switched to the other camp, as Darryl Yap is a known supporter of the UniTeam. However, the director-writer clarified that there was no switching that happened.

In his Facebook post, Darryl shared what he said to Rowena when he asked her to appear in a Len-len series episode.

“Mommy? Ok lang ba? Kunin kita sa Lenlen?
kasi kailangan ang Role, may alam kay Lenlen,
gawin ka sana source si Mosang; eh di ba? MakaLeni ka? Baka pwede ka? Kaya mo ba?’ ‘…oo naman anak, kayang-kaya, work…'” he wrote.

The controversial director stressed that he has known from the start that their Mosang actress is a Kakampink. “Wala pong #SwitchToLeni, kasi Leni po talaga siya noon pa man. at hindi lang po siya sa grupo ang hindi #BBM, at may mangilan-ngilan pong gusto rin sa talo.

He also stressed that from the start that Rowena has been “makaLENI” but this did not affect the bond that they have. The director also said that Rowena was able to personally experience the “kabaitan” of Senator Imee Marcos.

Darryl added that this has surprised many fellow Kakampinks of Rowena because they did not imagine that people with different political views can work harmoniously and have a friendship untainted by politics.
