Darryl Yap Vincentiments Official Statement on Petition vs Len-len Videos

Vincentiments, led by Darryl Yap, released this statement about recent criticisms

Director Darryl Yap, the person behind the social media page Vincentiments, has been receiving criticisms for creating the Kape Chronicles featuring the character Len-len.

The “non-political” videos also feature Senator Imee Marcos, Juliana Parizcova, and Roanna Marie. For supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo, the pro-Marcos director and his team created these videos against the female government official who is running for president.

In his videos, Darryl appeared to have used symbolism in his videos that seemed to be attacking the other political camp. Every time a new video is released, his name became a trending topic on social media.

However, not all the comments are positive. Darryl Yap is also being bashed and critics called his videos “basura”. Amid the criticisms, the director showed that these do not affect him and his team. Just recently, Vincentiments released a teaser for a new Len-len video titled “The Exorcisms of Len-len Rose.”

Once again, Darryl became a trending topic as mixed reactions were shared online. Supporters of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos are praising the director for making these videos that make them laugh while the supporters of VP Leni Robredo are attacking him and a petition even circulated against Vincentiments.

There were netizens who wanted social media platforms to take down the videos of Vincentiments. In line with the petition, Darryl Yap and his team released a statement through a Facebook post.

“Sa lahat po ng nag-aabang sa aming OFFICIAL STATEMENT patungkol sa Petition to Stop Vincentiments. Narito po ang sama-samang sentimyento ng mga bumubuo ng pahina, sa pamumuno ng aming direktor, Direk Darryl Yap. Salamat po sa pang-unawa,” the caption of the FB post stated.

This included a photo format of the official statement with the heading: “Opisyal na pahayag ng Vincentiments tungkol sa petisun ng mga pikon na naglalayong pahintuin ang pahina sa paggawa ng mga contents nitong hindi naayon sa kanilang panlasa.”

The statement just contained a long “hahaha” but the end part has “hahaadouken.”
