DARRYL YAP – Controversial director Darryl Yap denies that the spreading of fake news is the violation of his Facebook page.
An avid supporter of an influential political family in the Philippines is Darryl Yap. With his deep support for his presidential candidate, he even created political satire videos about Len-Len that captured the attention of many netizens which was also highly-criticized. This received backlash because it is a clearly an attack to the greatest rival of his chosen candidate.

And now, amid the elections, something happened to a Facebook pagehe owns that has a wide following – the Vincentiments. Before someone can like the page, the Facebook has automatic response to it warning the liker that the page have have violated the platform’s Community Standards.
“This Page has shared posts that violate our Community Standards. Review posts on this Page before liking it,” says the warning.
And according to the directors, the violation isn’t associated with the spreading of fake news. There are speculations about it but the director clarified that the violation was about his page’s malicious contents.
“Pulitika po ‘yan. November 2021 pa lang, may ganyan na kami [warning from Facebook] pero ngayon lang sila nag-post at gumawa ng kuwento,” he said. He stressed that the ones who are spreading fake news are those people who create stories about him and his page.
He clapped back to his bashers saying “huwag silang obvious na iyakin” and should they wait until May 9 and see how their candidate would lose to his bet. The politician he is supporting is the one who is widely tagged as “magnanakaw” and “tax evader” online. The politician was previously convicted of tax evasion.
