Thief Now in Critical Condition After Suffering Electrocution While Trying to Steal Telephone Cable
A male thief gets electrocuted and now in a critical condition after trying to steal a telephone cable in Sampaloc, Manila.
Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.
The CCTV camera along Barangay 473, Sampaloc Manila has caught the male suspect wearing a pink shirt walking along España, Manila. The thief suddenly disappeared and climbed tree near the area.
After a few moments, the CCTV recording has been cut and the power line in the area suddenly shuts down. The suspect climbed the tree and tried to steal the telephone wire in the area, which leads to blackout.
Unfortunately, the thief got electrocuted while performing his illegal activity. The suspect suffered serious wounds and injuries due to electrocution. The suspect’s colleague immediately escaped after the incident.
Barangay 473-Chairman Luis Domingo witnessed the incident and how the suspect called his mother’s name after being electrocuted. “Sunog na sunog siya doon. Buhay pa siya. Buhay pa, nagsasalita pa siya, tinatawag niya nanay niya,” Domingo said.
The cable thief has been rushed to the hospital after the incident. The suspect is currently in critical condition after suffering serious wounds and injuries.
“Kunwari scavenger sila pero iba ang layunin nila. Kahit may tanod diyan, tingnan niyo ‘yan. Kaya nire-request ko bawasan ng kaunti yung mga punong laylayan, sa baba. Para nakikita nga ng camera. Abot na abot ng camera yung taong nagtatago diyan,” Domingo said.
