4 Members of Group Responsible for Stealing Motorcycles Arrested by Police Authorities

CARNAPPING SUSPECTS – The police authorities arrested four members of a group responsible for stealing motorcycles.

In the Philippines, motorcycle is one of the most common transport vehicles. In fact, four out of ten families have motorcycles, according to the annual poverty indicators survey of Philippine Statistics office.

A lot of Filipino people prefer to purchase motorcycles because of its affordable price compared to cars. Our countrymen love motorcycles because it can easily filter heavily congested road. PNP Highway Patrol Group reported that 86 percent of stolen vehicles were motorcycles.

Suspects

The notorious Palco Group is one of the group known for stealing motorcycles in different parts of Rizal Province. According to the investigation, two delivery riders were the recent victims of the group.

A CCTV footage caught the illegal activity of the group and even stabbed one of the victims. The delivery rider victim was able to survive after the incident.

“Masyado na po silang nakasistema. Meron po silang tagapitas, tagabenta at taga-ayos ng papel,” provincial officer of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Rizal Police Colonel Madelia Pedrezuela.

The suspects admitted their mistakes and even issued an apology for their crimes. The police would launch a follow-up operation to arrest the two remaining suspects.

“Sa lahat po ng mga naperhuwisyo namin sana po mapatawad niyo po kami,” Mark Plomantes.

“Nadamay lang po kami, hindi po talaga kami carnapper. Nakapagbenta lang po kami ng nakaw na hindi namin alam,” suspect Jomidel Alcaraz said.

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group recovered some of the stolen motorcycles.
