Gas Stations Set to Impose Big-Time Oil Price Rollback Next Week

FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Various oil firms in the country are set to implement a big-time oil price rollback starting next week.

Fuel prices are expected to drop sharply on Tuesday (August 11, 2026), bringing welcome relief to drivers, commuters, and businesses that rely heavily on transportation.

Industry estimates show that diesel and gasoline prices could fall by as much as P5 per liter following several days of declining fuel trading prices in the international market. The projected rollback comes after global oil prices continued to soften amid improving developments in the Middle East and a stronger Philippine peso against the US dollar.

Here are the projected fuel prices:

  • Diesel: P4.50 to P5.00 per liter rollback
  • Gasoline: P4.50 to P5.00 per liter rollback

The expected rollback follows a steady decline in fuel product prices over the first four trading days of the week.

The stronger performance of the Philippine peso also contributed to the anticipated rollback by reducing the cost of imported fuel products.

Big-Time Oil Price Rollback

Despite the projected price cuts, industry analysts said global oil prices remain supported by strong demand and ongoing supply concerns. Export disruptions in key shipping routes in the Middle East continue to affect the availability of fuel supplies for Asian markets, preventing prices from returning to levels seen before the regional conflict intensified.

The projected rollback would come on top of this week’s fuel price reductions, which took effect on August 5. Oil companies lowered gasoline prices by P0.73 per liter, diesel by P0.60 per liter, and kerosene by P2.09 per liter.

Fuel companies are expected to announce their official adjustments on Monday and impose new prices on the following day.
