PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (January 14)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line will bring cloudy to rainy condition over some parts of the country.
On Friday (January 14, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line will affect the country’s weather condition.
The shear line or tail-end of a cold front will be affecting the eastern section of Mindanao while the Northeast Monsoon would affect the weather condition over Luzon and Visayas.
PAGASA reported that the shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga, northern Mindanao, and Davao Region. Possible flash floods or landslides during light to moderate to at times heavy rains are expected.
“Ito pong shear line ay nagdadala ng pag-ulan sa eastern section ng Mindanao,” Pagasa weather specialist Samuel Duran.
The northeast monsoon will bring similar weather condition with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.over the rest of Mindanao.
Metro Manila, Visayas, and the rest of Luzon would experience similar weather condition due to Amihan.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and the northern, eastern, and western portions of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. the rest of Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
