Senator Ping Lacson, who is running for president in the 2022 elections, shared his message for actress-host Kris Aquino.

The presidential aspirant did a word association challenge celebrity edition. In the video that was uploaded on Facebook, Kris was one of the celebrities who was mentioned.

Senator Ping said, “Good luck to her. I wish her well.” She deserves to be happy.” Just recently, Kris shared an update about her health condition. Almost two weeks ago, she announced that she and her former fiance Mel Sarmiento broke up.

Kris vocally supports Vice President Leni Robredo as presidential aspirant. Based on the article in Inquirer, although Sen. Ping Lacson is not the presidential candidate of Kris Aquino, the latter still holds a special place in the heart of the lawmaker.

It is because former President Cory Aquino, the mother of Kris, retained him as Philippine Constabulary’s Metropolitan District Commander. During a campaign sortie in Cebu last December, Senator Ping recalled this.

“Importante ang Cebu sa akin. Adopted son ako ng Cebu dahil na-assign ako riyan as MetroDisCom Commander for 28 months, at nag-request sila kay then President Cory Aquino na i-retain ako,” the Senator said.

At that time, the Senator was supposed to end his two-year term of office as a field commander in Cebu in 1991 but it was extended until February 1992 and then he was transferred to Laguna.
