CLAUDINE BARRETTO – Optimum Star Claudine Barretto speaks about her film and associated it with the past experiences that hurt her.
The “Optimum Star” in her own right is Claudine Barretto. Despite all the issues and controversies that she got involved with, no one can deny her acting prowess and how much her talent has greatly contributed to the entertainment industry.
And years after her hiatus, she returned through the film Deception along with her ex-boyfriend Mark Anthony Fernandez. The veteran screen actress herself admits that her newest film is very close to her heart. The past experiences that she’s been through and gone through made her be at home with the film.
She said, “Itong pelikulang ito is very close to my heart dahil sa mga nangyari sa amin ng ex-husband ko. It hits close to home sa akin kasi hindi lang naman sa ex-husband ko kundi sa mga taong pinagkatiwalaan ko. Sa mga taong akala ko kaibigan ko, yun pala hindi. Tinulungan mo na, ikaw pa yung masama.”
Accordingly, she has encountered a lot of deceptive people and suffered betrayal in her life. She’s been through it all in almost all aspects of her life and it taught her to be careful on who to trust at this point. She’s being extra careful and attested to self-love as one of the most important things a person should prioritize as per a report from PEP.
Although she did not mention who is her ex-husband, people are aware that it is Raymart Santiago. She is addressing him as her ex-husband already even though their wedding has not been legally annulled yet. Santiago is currently in a relationship with Jodi Sta. Maria while Barretto remains single.
