LIZA ONG – Just as Doc Willie Ong continues his fight against stage 4 sarcoma, another heartbreaking health battle has emerged within their family after his wife, Doc Liza Ong, revealed her breast cancer diagnosis.
Doc Willie Ong and his wife, Doc Liza Ong, are facing one of the toughest chapters of their lives as both continue to battle separate forms of cancer. While Doc Willie remains under treatment for stage 4 sarcoma, the couple recently revealed that Doc Liza has also been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The physician, social media personality, and former vice presidential and senatorial candidate previously shared encouraging updates, saying that his condition had remained stable. However, the couple disclosed another difficult development when Doc Liza was diagnosed with early-stage invasive ductal carcinoma, the most common type of breast cancer.
The diagnosis came while Doc Willie continues to undergo treatment for his advanced sarcoma, adding another challenge for the family. Despite the emotional burden of confronting two cancer battles at the same time, the couple has remained optimistic and determined to keep moving forward together.
According to Doc Liza, breast cancer runs in their family, prompting her to monitor her health regularly through annual check-ups. Her vigilance allowed doctors to detect the disease at an early stage, giving her a clearer treatment plan.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Doc Liza shared her diagnosis and outlined the medical journey ahead.
“Sana ay nasa mabuti kayong kalagayan. Na-diagnose ako ng breast cancer 6 weeks ago. Kailangan ko matapos ang 12 weeks ng chemotherapy at 4 na immunotherapy at sa huli ay opera para tanggalin ang right breast. Kaya ko ito at lalabanan ko ito. Tuloy-tuloy pa din kami sa paggawa ng health tips para sa inyo. Mahal na mahal namin kayo aming followers. God bless you.”
Despite undergoing treatment, Doc Liza assured their supporters that they will continue creating health-related content and sharing medical advice with their followers. She also expressed gratitude for the love, prayers, and encouragement they continue to receive from the public.
In a recent vlog, the couple maintained a positive outlook, saying they would continue fighting their respective cancers for as long as they could. They acknowledged that the road ahead would not be easy, but they remain committed to facing every challenge together with courage and faith.
Doc Liza also took the opportunity to remind the public about the importance of paying attention to unusual changes in the body.
