PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (January 7)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that most parts of the Philippines will experience a fair weather condition.

On Friday (January 7, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and easterlies will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting northern Luzon. The amihan would bring cloudy weather condition over Batanes.

It would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms is expected over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The easterlies would also bring similar weather condition over Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country will experience a fair weather condition with chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

“Sa kasalukuyan, northeast monsoon ang umiiral sa bahagi ng hilagang Luzon. Easterlies naman ang umiiral sa nalalabing bahagi ng ating bansa. Dahil sa dalawang weather systems na ito, inaasahan na magiging maganda ang panahon sa malaking bahagi ng ating bansa,” Pagasa weather specialist Robb Gile said.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon, rest of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the rest of the archipelago.

The weather agency has also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
