PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (January 6)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (January 6, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Northeast Monsoon will be affecting Northern Luzon. The amihan is expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

It would also bring cloudy condition with light rains over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora and Quezon as well as the rest of northern Luzon.

The easterlies would bring similar weather condition Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands. Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to experience the same.

The intertropical convergence zone is expected to bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga.

The weather agency also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon, Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as the remaining parts of the country will be moderate to rough, according to the weather bureau.
