JC Alcantara Shares Being Scammed by His First Handler
Actor JC Alcantara shared his experience where he was allegedly scammed by the first handler that told him to make him famous.
During the “Click, Like, Share” virtual media conference, Alcantara admits to being duped by a handler who promised to make him famous as an actor, which never occurred. Alcantara was willing to discuss how his prior provincial rank was utilized to entice him to work as an artist in exchange for money.

His first manager reportedly asked him to take him to Manila to pursue his ambition of becoming an actor, according to the actor. He said that he is a provincial lad who was inspired to pursue his ambition of being an artist by the comments of a so-called talent seeker.
“Di ba uso ‘yun dati sa mga probinsya. E probinsyano ako. Sinasabi niya sa ‘kin pasisikatin kita. Dadalhin kita sa Manila. E ako naman itong probinsyano, pangarap kong maging isang artista,” said Alcantara.
“Nag-audition ako. Sumama ako pero walang nangyayari. Tapos, nagbibigay akong pera. Ako naman ‘tong tanga…” he added with a laugh.
Alcantara reminds the public not to just trust people you don’t know well: “Kaya dapat huwag mo ibigay ‘yung tiwala mo sa isang tao lalo na kung ‘di mo kilala.”
“Hello Stranger: The Movie,” produced by ABS-CBN Films and Black Sheep, is the first BL film Alcantara starred with Tony Labrusca. The film claims to depict physical connection between the two main characters as they are shown in the same room, conducting activities together at a writing camp.
JC Alcantara, who just acquired a contract as a Star Magic star, has taken the leap into recording with the release of his debut solo single for Star Pop, “Please Na Miss Kita,” following his tenure in the famous BL series. His depiction of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” Season 4 champ JM Yosures in “MMK” in May showcased his acting abilities.
