Who Is Gwyneth Chua and Why Many Netizens Are Angry At Her?

This is the reason why Gwyneth Chua is trending online.

GWYNETH CHUA – A lady named Gwyneth Chua is trending online because of this reason which drives many netizens to be mad at her.

The Department of Health confirmed this December that the Omicron variant of coronavirus has already reached the Philippines and there are already four infected cases as of this writing. The first two Omicron-infected cases were a returning Filipino from Japan and a Nigerian man.

The third one is a returning Filipino from Qatar while the fourth one is a 38-year-old woman from the United States. the first two patients were experiencing mild symptoms like cough, colds, and itchy throat while the two latter infected patients are asymptomatic.

And now, currently trending on Twitter is a lady named Gwyneth Chua and many people online are mad at what she did. Amid the threats of the pandemic, this lady, who came from the States, accordingly skipped doing the required quarantine for several days. Putting people coming from other countries in quarantine before letting them out is one safety measure to ensure that they won’t spread the virus in case they are infected.

Many people online claimed that she paid the facility so she could skip doing it and went straight to a party in Poblacion which is why she is also being called the “Poblacion Girl”.

Here are some of the comments of the furious netizens:

“I hope [DOH] can investigate this…”

“Anyway, blame the corrupt Quarantine Facility also not just Gwyneth”
