PWD Vlogger Dies After Alleged Assault by 5 Men During Intense Altercation in Tarlac
A PWD vlogger lost his life after he was allegedly assaulted by five men during a violent altercation in Bamban, Tarlac.
A 35-year-old vlogger and person with disability lost his life after he was allegedly assaulted by five men during a violent altercation in Barangay San Nicolas Dapdap.
According to police reports, the incident happened on Friday at a videoke bar where the victim and the suspects were present. Authorities said the individuals were known to each other before the incident took place.
Investigators revealed that what began as a simple exchange of jokes between the victim and one of the suspects eventually turned into a heated argument. The disagreement quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, leading to a larger fight.
Police said the victim was allegedly attacked by five men during the disturbance. The commotion reportedly started inside the videoke bar and later spilled onto nearby areas, including the front of a gasoline station and a chapel within the barangay.
The altercation was only brought under control after police officers and barangay personnel arrived at the scene and intervened.
After the incident, the victim was taken to a hospital where he received initial medical treatment. After being examined, he was allowed to return home.
However, shortly after arriving at his residence, he reportedly began suffering from severe headaches, prompting his family to rush him back to the hospital.
Doctors later conducted a CT scan and discovered blood clotting in his brain. Despite medical efforts, the victim passed away on Sunday, July 5.
Authorities also noted that the victim lived with complete phocomelia, a rare condition in which the arms are absent or significantly shortened while the hands remain present. Despite his condition, he had built a presence online as a content creator and vlogger.
Police have already identified the five individuals believed to be involved in the incident. However, the suspects have reportedly gone into hiding.
Authorities are preparing homicide charges and continue to investigate the case. They are also encouraging anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts to coordinate with the Bamban Municipal Police Station to help bring those responsible before the law.
