Anjo Yllana spoke about his legal battle versus TVJ
Actor Anjo Yllana reacted to the court’s decision ordering him to pay P3.5 million as damages to TVJ Productions.
To recall, Anjo had some controversial statements about the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga, and its hosts. With this, the management of the show decided to file a case against Anjo, who was also one of the former hosts.
The Branch 279 of the Regional Trial Court of Mandaluyong City under Presiding Judge Gloria Monica S. Lopez released a decision ordering Anjo to pay TVJ Productions, owned by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz said that Anjo Yllana admitted that he did not know where to get that kind of amount. On the other hand, if the case is still in the Court of Appeals, he is not yet urged to pay for it.
In a recent interview on the YouTube channel of Ogie, Anjo answered the court’s decision. “P3.5 million, parang masayado naman mabigat ang parusa,” the actor said, stressing that this is the reason why he is planning to bring this to the Court of Appeals.
“Ang pakiramdam ko kasi, may pinatay ba ako, meron ba akong ninakaw, meron ba akong nilapastangan, meron ba akong ni-r@pe, meron ba akong binubugbog?” Anjo had this question regarding the court’s decision.
He also stressed that he just expressed his emotions, and it might have been too harsh for other people. During the interview, he also mentioned that the amount for the damages was for the losses that the company had because of his statement.
Anjo Yllana stressed, “Hindi naman nalulugi ang TVJ. Ang daming kita niyan.” The actor also admitted that he is guilty, and if her hurt the other party, he is saying sorry. “Pero yung parusa, parang hindi ko matanggap,” he said.
