PAGASA Says Shearline & Amihan to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather update PAGASA reported that the shear line and the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (December 11, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and the northeast monsoon will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA said shear line will be affecting Southern Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon will affect Northern and Central Luzon.

The shear line will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Marinduque, Romblon, and Eastern Visayas.

The provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Apayao, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province and Aurora will experience similar weather condition. Possible flooding or landslides are expected during moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains is expected over Oriental Mindoro, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Similar weather condition is expected over the remaining parts of the country due to the localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea condition is expected over the rest of Mindanao.
