PAGASA Says Shear Line & Amihan to Bring Cloudy to Rainy Condition Over Parts of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (December 10)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line and the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy to rainy condition over some parts of the country.

On Friday (December 10, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update. The shearline and amihan will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon while the shear line will affect the northeastern portion of Mindanao.

Shearline will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Central and Eastern Visayas. Possible flooding or landslides are expected during moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Aurora and Quezon will experience similar weather condition with light rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains is expected over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, rest of the Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

The northeast monsoon will bring the same weather condition over Metro Manila, Western Visayas, and the rest of Luzon. The rest of the Mindanao will experience the same condition due to localized thunderstorm.

Possible flash floods or landslides are expected in those areas during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
