This is what Gerald Anderson said about his new leading lady, Gigi.
GERALD ANDERSON – Kapamilya leading man Gerald Anderson describes his new leading man Gigi De Lana and their chemistry together.
‘Hello, Heart’ is one of the pilot projects of the partnership between ABS-CBN and global streaming service iQiyi which stars Gerald Anderson and singer-turned-actress Gigi De Lana. Anderson was accordingly excited to portray the role because he has always wanted to play a dynamic character. His role is Saul, an emotionless businessman who will hire Heart to pretend as his wife just to please his grandmother who is suffering from dementia.
After it was disclosed to him that he will be paired with a new leading lady, what he did is to look for her over the internet to know basic information about her. Knowing who he’s going to work with first works for him. He even added about having a new love team, “Pag fresh at bago yung tandem, it excites me because it’s another challenge for me bilang aktor and it’s exciting for the fans.”
Meanwhile, in terms of their chemistry, he never forces it. What he does instead is to just make her comfortable always. Being in a “very high pressure, sensitive, and vulnerable environment”, a sense of comfort is on topmost of it and he believes that the rest will then follow.
He commended her for her passion and effort when it comes to working. He said about her, “Alam mo talagang she cares for this and malayo pa ang mararating niya sa platform na ‘to. Yung mga fans ni Gigi please abangan niyo siya duito. She worked so hard dito para sa inyo and sana abangan niyo at pinaghirapan din ng maraming tao ito.”
As much as many people are aware, this is the first leading role of De Lana.
