Details of the new project of Dingdong Dantes were finally revealed
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes has a new project and this actress will his new leading lady.
It has been quite a while since the priced actor of GMA has done an acting project. He is set to do a new TV series. Based on the article in PEP, the series is titled AlterNATE.
The said project was initialy intended to be part of the second season of I Can See You back in April 2021 but it was put on hold. GMA has not announced if there will be changes in the show.
In this series, Dingdong Dantes will be paired with Beauty Gonzalez who already received positive feedback from the first series she did with the Kapuso network, the Stories from the Heart: Loving Miss Bridgette. Beauty’s onscreen partnership with Kelvin Miranda was well-accepted by fans.
Reportedly, that series got an average of 7 to 8% ratings which is a rare number in afternoon TV programs. That was Beauty’s first Kapuso project after she signed a contract with GMA in June. This happened after several months of speculations about her network transfer to GMA after being a Kapamilya since her Pinoy Big Brother stint.
Now, Beauty Gonzalez is set to do her second Kapuso series and it will be with Dingdong Dantes who is one of the A-list stars of GMA. The new teleserye will also feature Joyce Ching, Bryan Benedict, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Ricky Davao. This is directed by Dominic Zapata. The famous director also directed Dingdong with Jennylyn Mercado as his leading lady in his last TV series which was the adaptation of the K-Drama Descendants of the Sun.
