Based on the article by entertainment columnist Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon, there are some political groups that are pressuring Dingdong Dantes to enter the world of politics next year. Allegedly, they want the Kapuso star to run for Senator.
He was also being speculated to run in the last election, however, that did not happen. It was said that Marian Rivera opposes this idea.

The entertainment reporters said that the reason behind Marian’s social media hiatus is that she does not want her husband to run in the 2022 elections. It is rumored that this is how she showed that she is not in favor of this plan of some political groups for Dingdong Dantes.
