PAGASA Says Northeast Monsoon to Bring Rainy Condition on Wednesday
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon would bring cloudy to rainy condition over some parts of the country.
On Wednesday (November 17, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula. Palawan including Kalayaan Islands would also experience the same due to the LPA/ITCZ.
The northeast monsoon would bring similar weather condition over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Aurora, and Quezon. Possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
It would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over the rest of Mindanao. Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience similar weather condition due to the localized thunderstorms.
The localized thunderstorms are expected to bring the same weather over the remaining parts of the country with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition over northern Luzon would be moderate to rough. The rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.
The low-pressure area spotted 1,525 kilometers east of Mindanao is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next 24 hours. It could intensify over sea before Friday and bring an inclement condition over Bicol region and Visayas.
