Ria Atayde is playing this interesting role in a new series
Kapamilya actress Ria Atayde talked about her character Laura Dizon in the new series Viral Scandal.
It is no doubt that acting prowess runs in Ria’s veins, after all, she is the daughter of seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez and award-winning actor Arjo Atayde.
She is now one of the cast members of the new social drama of ABS-CBN. Viral Scandal will start streaming on November 15 and Ria shared details of her character, based on the article in Manila Bulletin.
She plays the character of fierce lawyer Laura Dizon who would do anything to fight for justice. The character of Ria Atayde is helping a family that is going against the people who are behind the spread of the video that destroyed their lives.
Ria’s last full-length series prior to this was Parasite Island in 2019. Working again in a series, the actress said that this made her happy. She also has no problem coping with the new normal.
“I like the system of lock-ins because everything is so efficient and fast. We follow a very strict schedule and it gives my co-actors and I more time to study our characters and bond with each other,” she said.
Just like other artists, Ria also admitted that work is much difficult now and she is thankful to be part of this relevant project that tells about the danger of misused social media that can greatly affect the life of an individual.
“There will always be several sides to every story that we read and see on social media, and one of them is the truth. I am an advocate of the truth and lies in all its many ugly forms are unacceptable. With this, I find a connection with the character I am portraying on Viral Scandal because like me, she is relentless in pursuing the truth,” Ria Atayde shared about her role.
