What’s the reason behind the “ayuda” that Gretchen Barretto is giving?
Socialite and former actress Gretchen Barretto revealed the motive behind her initiative to give away “love box” and gifts.
Gretchen has been in a relationship with business tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco who is one of the richest men in the Philippines. With this, it is but natural for the former actress to live a luxurious life.
The luxury that she is experiencing is being reflected on her social media posts. However, despite this wealthy lifestyle, La Greta also shows that simple things can make her happy, like eating her favorite “galunggong”.
Just recently, the socialite started a charitable endeavor. She did not announce it or say something about this on her social media account. It was the recipients who shared about the “love boxes” that they received.
Gretchen Barretto has already given “ayuda” to many showbiz reporters, celebrities, actresses, and singers. She also volunteered to give sacks of rice and wheelchairs through the digital talk show Take It Per Minute Me Ganun! of Cristy Fermin, Lolit Solis, and Mr. Fu.
Based on what Manay Lolit said, La Greta is even preparing love boxes for Noche Buena this coming December and she will be holding a wish-granting event for chosen individuals during the holiday season.
Because of this, it is inevitable for some people to speculate that she has a plan of entering the political arena and that she has ulterior motives for doing this. On the other hand, those who are close to her said that there is no truth to that rumors.
Once and for all, based on the article by entertainment columnist Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Gretchen Barretto revealed her motive. “Yes ang motibo is to be kind. Hindi lahat ng nagbibigay may motibo. It is our duty to spread love and kindness at this time of pandemic,” the former actress said.
