Socialite Gretchen Barretto is being perceived to have a political plan in the 2022 elections as she started giving “ayuda” to many showbiz personalities, as well as to reporters.
Greta has been away from the limelight for many years now. She is considered as one of the popular socialites in the Philippines. Once in a while, she would share glimpses of her luxurious life with longtime partner business tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco and their daughter Dominique Cojuangco.
The former actress sent “love box” to comedians, showbiz reporters, and personalities in the entertainment industry. Several recipients shared what they got from Gretchen such as veteran entertainment columnist Lolit Solis, entertainment report Mr. Fu, and even actress-host Pauleen Luna’s daughter Talitha.
The boxes contained food and other essential items.
Based on the article in NewsKo, Gretchen Barretto also sent love boxes to people in other sectors. She is also sending grocery items and sack or rice to less fortunate. Even veteran actress-politician Vilma Santos received “ayuda” from he socialire.
With all these things that La Greta has given as she already spent millions of pesos, many people are speculating that she is set to enter the world of politics as well.
People close to the former actress contradicted the speculations about her future plan in the political arena. They said that Gretchen has no plan of running for any position in the 2022 elections. Her friends also said that she is just sharing the blessings that she has.
Meanwhile, Gretchen Barretto still receives bashing once in a while even though she has been inactive in showbiz for several years now. She said in a previous interview that bashings does not bother her anymore. However, she admitted that negative reactions used to affect her but it is not the situation when she got older.
