PAGASA Says ITCZ to Bring Cloudy to Rainy Condition Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.
On Monday (August 30, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ITCZ would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the ITCZ would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the provinces of Pangasinan, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Aurora.

Occidental Mindoro, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon are also expected to experience similar weather conditions.
The weather system would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Benguet, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.
The ITCZ would primarily affect Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region and Pangasinan as well as the National Capital Region.

The remaining parts of the country would experience the same weather condition.
The weather agency also warned the public of possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms. The weather disturbance might prevail over the next two to three days.
“Ito pong ITCZ, malaki ang tsansa na mag-prevail pa rin o maging dominant weather system sa’tin at least in the next two to three days,” Pagasa weather specialist Loriedin De La Cruz.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
