PAGASA Says ITCZ to Bring Rainy Weather Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring rainy weather conditions over some parts of the country.
On Wednesday (August 25, 2021), Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ITCZ would affect the country’s weather condition.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Bicol Region and Northern Samar. Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands are expected to experience similar weather conditions.
Quezon province, Eastern and Central Visayas, and the entire Mindanao would also experience the same weather condition due to the ITCZ.
Partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon. Metro Manila and the rest of the country would have similar weather condition due to isolated thunderstorms.
“Sa ngayon ay umiiral pa din ang Intertropical Convergence Zone o ITCZ sa Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” weather specialist Benison Estareja said.
The weather system is expected to prevail over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao within the next three days. No tropical cyclones are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility over the next few days.
“Ito ‘yung nakikita nating weather system na magpe-prevail sa susunod na tatlong araw. Within the next three days din po, wala tayong nakikitang bagyo na mabubuo or papasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility,” Estareja added.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire archipelago would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
