What does Jasmine Curtis-Smith wants to say to her character in The World Between Us?
JASMINE CURTIS-SMITH – The Kapuso actress gave a message to Lia Libradilla, the character she plays in the GMA-7 series “The World Between Us”.
One of the TV series that is currently widely-talked about is the GMA-7 romance-drama series The World Between Us starring Alden Richards, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and Tom Rodriguez.
In the said TV series, Jasmine and Tom play the characters of Lia and Brian Libradilla who are half-siblings but they were not aware of it yet. Alden plays the role of Luisito “Louie” Asuncion, an orphan boy who was welcomed by the mother of Lia and Brian (Dina Bonnevie) to her home after his mother died.
Brian, Lia, and Louie grew up together like siblings but Louie and Lia developed romantic feelings for each other. Brian, on the other hand, has always kept a feeling of envy towards Louie for how impressed their mom is of him.
It was an “us against the world” for Louie and Lia when the people around them discovered what they have for each other. They tried to fight for their young love but circumstances took them apart.

Lia and her family went to the United States and stayed there for five years. Louie was left and focused on bettering his life as he awaits the return of Lia – who came back with a heart that has yet to heal from the pain of being left by a lover.
A lot of viewers said that the character of Jasmine Curtis-Smith needs “alignment” in her life. It is amid Lia trying to drive Louie away but knowing inside her that she still has feelings for him.
Based on a report on GMA News, Jasmine Curtis-Smith understands the say of the viewers about Lia. She also gave a message to the character she plays in The World Between Us.
Addressing her character, the Kapuso actress said that time will come when her heart will tell her what not to do and what is appropriate to do. She also told her character to ask her mind and the people around her as they can be the light for her.
“Consult your brain and consult the people around you or your friends, Lia, who can be a light for you if you can’t be a light for yourself. Ayusin mo’ yung buhay mo, girl!” she said.
Currently, The World Between Us is down to their last three (3) episodes before the season break. They will be back on air in November.
