Following the legal battle, Nadine Lustre remains with Viva and will work on future projects soon.
NADINE LUSTRE – Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre will be presented with projects to work under Viva soon and here’s a statement from her boss.
Regional Trial Court Branch 220 Judge Jose G. Paneda signed a resolution stating that famous actress Nadine Lustre must honour her contract with Viva. This is after some months of legal battle where the party of Lustre said that the contract she has with them is oppressive.
She previously terminated her contract with Viva Artists Agency which caused conflict leading to a legal battle. Viva boss Vic Del Rosario, in a comeback, countered her filed charges with a violation. Under her contract with Viva, she is not allowed to appear in movies of a different company but she did.
In the resolution, it has instructed Nadine to follow her contractual obligations with VIVA and refrain from accepting third party contracts and endorsements that are not consented to by her agency. While they insist that the contract is unconscionable, oppressive, and illegal, the resolution stated otherwise. The contract is valid and subsisting.
And now, following the filed charges and everything, Viva President & Chief Executive Officer Vincent del Rosario revealed that they are now preparing something for Nadine. She may be presented with projects that she might want to do – movie projects that are either for VivaMax or cinemas.
“Boss Vic has asked us to come up with ideas, concepts that we can present to her. So, we’re very excited with the opportunity to work with her again…and ah, hopefully maybe soon. Also with James…whether through his music or sa pag-aartista…so ano lang, it’s a timing issue,” he said.
They have an active contract with Nadine and they want her to work with them. They are also open to working with James Reid. They are just finding the right materials for her as of now and come up with something that she will be happy working on.
Boss Vincent added, “Si Nadine naman is like family to us. We’ve seen her growth in terms of being an artist and as a person…una siyang nakasama sa Viva.”
