Public School Teachers to Receive P1k Incentives for World Teacher’s Day, According to DepEd
DepEd announced that public school teachers will get P1, 000 incentives for the World Teachers’ Day Incentive Benefit.
On Tuesday (August 10 2021), the Department of Education reported that President Rodrigo Duterte has already approved the P910 million budget for the World Teachers’ Day extra benefit.
The allocation will grant each public school teacher with P1, 000 incentive each. The additional benefit aims to recognize the role of the teachers in addressing the challenges amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Philippine government would give the incentives to show their admiration towards the public school teachers for their hard work to educate the Filipino people and unwavering passion to serve the public.
“The grant of WTDIB recognizes the vital role of our educators in addressing the challenges of the pandemic, especially in ensuring the continuity of learning,” DepEd said.
The Education Department also expressed their gratefulness towards 900,000 educators who continue to teach the Filipino students amid the health crisis. DepEd announced guidelines will be issued on the release of the incentive.
