In the new video of Ivana Alawi, lots of hearts were touched by her meeting and interaction with a poor but generous man.
Those who have little are often the ones most willing to give, even if it means ending up with less—or nothing at all. Why? Because they understand firsthand what it feels like to have nothing. They know how hard it is to live in this world without anything or having no one.
In Ivana Alawi’s recent vlog, she didn’t just touch our hearts, but she also opened our eyes and minds to many important realizations. As much as we all know, Ivana is one of the most admired vloggers in the country.
In her video, she disguised herself as a helpless pregnant woman who roams the streets to ask for help. She had a couple of people who helped her willingly, which touched the hearts, but the part that touched many the most was her coincidental meeting with a homeless man.
The man is named Hesus Paraboles. He used to work in construction, but he had to stop after his tools were stolen. He also roams the street, and captured in the video was the moment he paused and helped Ivana, who was in disguise, without being asked. He was willing and genuine in helping.
He advised the “pregnant” Ivana to buy rice and simply ask for free soup to ease her hunger, then quickly prepared to leave. Hesus only had PHP 15.00, yet he still gave her PHP 10.00. Ivana was stunned by his generosity, and from that moment, she couldn’t forget him. She felt a strong urge to help him, which she acted on the very next day.
She prepared food, money, T-shirts, and pants for him, and also gave him something comfortable to sleep on, along with a small amount of cash. She explained that she can’t give everything all at once, but she promised to support him long-term until he can get back on his feet and rebuild his life.
She is ready to help in every way she can, but she needs to proceed carefully, as Hesus appears to be in a mentally challenged state. Despite his condition, she remains committed to helping him and giving him hope.
Her video is also a reminder of hope for everyone, no matter what the situation is.
