PAGASA Says PH to Experience Wet and Cloudy Friday

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring wet and cloudy weather condition over parts of the country.

On Friday (July 30, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Habagat would bring wet and cloudy weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring monsoon rains over Ilocos Region, Benguet, Abra, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, and Occidental Mindoro. Occasional rains are expected over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon would also experience occasional rains. Habagat would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao.

“Asahan pa rin natin na may makulimlim na kalangitan o may pag ulan dito sa Luzon dahil sa southwest monsoon,” weather specialist Shelly Ignacio said.

The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas for possible possible flooding and rain-induced landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Luzon and Visayas would be moderate to rough. Mindanao would also experience slight to moderate surrounding sea condition.
