Pinoy Ehrlich Ocampo Gets Standing Ovation From All 4 Judges of America’s Got Talent
AMERICA’S GOT TALENT – Filipino performer Ehrlich Ocampo received a standing ovation from all four judges of AGT during his audition for the talent show.
Many Filipinos have conquered the international stage especially on a televised talent show competition like ‘America’s Got Talent.’ We feel proud and inspired after hearing about their incredible journey in the competition.
A Filipino performer named Ehrlich Ocampo showcased his talent in the art of leviwand and dance in front of AGT judges Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell, and Heidi Klum. Leviwand is an art where the performer controls a seemingly floating stick.
A 3-minute video of Ehrlich Ocampo’s audition was uploaded on America’s Got Talent’s Facebook page on July 12. It has garnered more than 872,000 views and 8K reactions as of this writing. It came with a caption, “Watch what happens when you mix dance with magic.”

In the video, Ehrlich Ocampo said that it is his dream to represent his country and make his family proud. Judge Sofia Vergara asked him “Why AGT? Why did you decide this was the right time for you to come here?”
He said, “I gave up everything to pursue my performing. People thought I was crazy. I didn’t think I’ll make it here. But my friends and family, they supported me and they inspired me to fight. I am here fighting for myself, my family, my friends, my community, my country.”
Simon Cowell told him that they “haven’t seen anything like this before. I think the fact that you’ve got the guts to do what you’ve done means in life, you’re going to do amazing. All the hours that went into this paid off. Fantastic. Well done.”
The Pinoy performer got more elated when his idol Heidi Klum applauded his performance. She said, “You are mesmerizing to watch because we kind of wonder how you do it. And you move so beautifully and elegant. You were incredible. I loved it. It’s very unique.”
