The money he tends to always share with people is the “sobra” from his pocket because he believed that having too much money is bad and he’d rather just use it to help the needy. He said, “Kumbaga sa tubig, pag umapaw na, pamigay mo na kesa tumapon.”

And amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Robin and Mariel admitted that their budget has been affected. And this is among the reasons why they decided to put up their “Cooking Ina” business where they sell premium and high-quality steaks. This is the “pamana” business of Mariel’s grandparents to her and she’s very hand’s on. Also, one of the reasons why she pursued this amid the pandemic is because she wanted to save up for their daughter’s education.

He furthered that he and Mariel have big dreams for them such as sending them to prestigious schools abroad like Harvard. However, when the pandemic happened, he decided to withdraw the savings for them and he had a change of plans.

What he did to the money is he gave them to people badly stricken by the lockdown and they also used the money given by ABS-CBN to them to buy essentials and foods for the other people based on the interview.
