PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (June 28)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and habagat would bring rainy condition over some parts of the country.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and Southwest Monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA said that the Southwest Monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Apayao, Benguet, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao and Abra.

The ITCZ would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Western and Central Visayas. The localized thunderstorms over rest of Visayas, and Occidental Mindoro.

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon would also experience similar weather conditions.

The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water conditions over the entire country would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
