PAGASA Says Habagat to Bring Rains Over Parts of Luzon While Fair Weather is Expected Over VisMin

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Luzon would have cloudy to rainy conditions while Visayas and Mindanao would have fair weather condition.

On Wednesday (June 23, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has released the latest weather updates in the country. The southwest monsoon would continue to affect most parts of the country.

PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

Occidental Mindoro would also experience similar weather condition due to Habagat. The localized thunderstorms would also bring cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, which may cause possible flash floods or landslides.

The weather agency is also monitoring a tropical depression located at 1,780 kilometers east of southern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the extreme northern Luzon would be moderate to rough. The rest of the archipelago would have slight to moderate surrounding sea condition.
