Barangay Officials Arrest 2 Health Protocol Violators Over Possession of Illegal Drugs
QUEZON CITY – The barangay officials arrested the two health protocol violators for possessing illegal drugs.
The barangay officials apprehended the two male residents in Quezon City for not wearing face masks, which is considered as a violation of quarantine guidelines and health protocols. The officials also conduct a frisking inspection.
The Barangay Old Balara officers found four sachets of illegal drugs from one of the violators who even tried to hide it on his underwear. The four sachets of illegal drugs are amounting P10, 000.
The suspects have been identified as Sonny Navia and Joey Ansua. The two admitted that they have no face masks and violated the health protocols. The culprits also confessed that they own the drugs.
“May mga report po kasi sa amin na talagang nag-i-istambay sila doon para magbenta ng [droga]. Nation nan agro-roving, nakita na wala silang face mask. ‘Yun nga po, dinala doon sa headquarters para tiketan tapos ininspeksyon sila, may nakuhang [droga],” Brgy. Old Balara, Quezon City Punong Barangay Allan Franza said.
The offenders have been turned over to the police authorities. The two have been also arrested in the past for illegal gambling.
