PAGASA Says Monsoon Trough to Bring Cloudy & Rainy Conditions Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the monsoon trough would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

On Saturday (June 12, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the weather update in the country. The monsoon’s trough would bring cloudy to rainy condition over some parts of the country.

The monsoon trough would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon and Marinduque.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Apayao, Benguet, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao and Abra as well as the rest of Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country would experience similar weather condition.

The weather agency also warned the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA is also monitoring a Tropical Depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). It was last spotted at 1,005 kilometers west of northern Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 75 kph.
