PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Today (June 9)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the Philippines.
On Wednesday (June 9, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon and ITCZ would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
The habagat would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm over Western Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands.
The southwest monsoon would also bring similar weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas. Mindanao would also experience the same weather condition.
“Patuloy ang epekto ng dalawang weather system sa ating bansa: ang habagat, o Southwest monsoon, dito sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon at Western Visayas. For the rest of Visayas naman at sa malaking bahagi ng Mindanao, apektado naman sila ng Intertropical Convergence Zone o ITCZ,” PAGASA said.
PAGASA also warned the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods or landslides during scattered moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the entire archipelago would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
