PAGASA: LPA Spotted Off Northern Luzon, Cloudy & Rainy Conditions are Expected

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (June 10)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area has been spotted off Northern Luzon and cloudy to rainy conditions are expected.

On Thursday (June 10, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and habagat would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

The southwest monsoon’s trough would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, and Marinduque.

It would also bring similar weather condition over the entire Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands. Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country would have cloudy conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

The low-pressure area has been last located at 655 kilometers west of northern Luzon. It has a slim chance of developing into a  tropical cyclone and it is expected to move towards southern China.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the entire archipelago would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
