Why did Claudine Barretto decide to have her showbiz break?
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto admitted that her decision to leave showbiz for a while was painful but she has no regret about that because of this.
Claudine is known as one of the primetime teleserye queens. She did various roles in soap operas that touched the emotions of her avid fans.
The actress from a prominent showbiz clan also has proven her caliber on the big screen. Now, she is set to finally have her showbiz come back after a long time of being out of the spotlight.
In a recent interview for her upcoming reunion movie project with her ex-boyfriend Mark Anthony Fernandez, Claudine Barretto stressed that she did not regret taking a break from the entertainment industry, based on the article in PUSH.
However, she admitted that it was a painful decision for her. “When Raymart (Santiago) and I, nung naghiwalay kami, I felt that I really had to step back from show business because kailangan ako ng mga anak ko,” she explained.
She added that she does not want her children to feel that they have no parents. Despite that decision was hard for her, the actress said that she did that because her priority is her children.
“Both Santino and Sabina said na, ‘It’s okay mommy, you can work already, we’re big already.’ And looking at them now individually, I think tama lang ang naging desisyon ko na bantayan ko ang kanilang paglaki. And I will never ever regret stepping back,” the Optimum Star shared.
Although her top priority is her kids, Claudine Barretto said that showbiz will always be her passion. She said that this is the field that she really knows what to do and where she’s good at.
