ISKO MORENO – The Manila Mayor expressed his belief that a position is not inherited in a democratic type of government.

Amid the election fever in the Philippines now, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno stressed his belief that in a democratic government, position is not inherited. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Manila City Mayor expressed that he does not want to pre-empt the Filipino people but he does not want the people to be called negatively in the end.

“Hindi ako naniniwala na ang posisyon sa gobyerno minamana, in a democratic government. Ang demokrasya ang taong bayan ang pumipili hindi ipinipilit iyong mga kalahi niya pagkatapos niya na,” Mayor Isko said.

On the part of Mayor Duterte, former Camarines Sur Representative Rolando Andaya Jr. stressed that the Davao City Mayor has her own person and she is not like the President. He said she is different and she is a “vitamin-fortified Duterte”.
